Prayer Ministry

The Prayer Ministry serves as armor bearers to both the Pastor and church body. We stand in the gap through prayer not just for the sick and troubled, but we lift up the entire congregation to our Lord Jesus Christ throughout the week.  The Prayer Ministry is also responsible for leading the Saturday morning and Mid-week High Noon Prayer Services.  All members of the congregation are invited to come out and participate in these prayer services.

Music Ministry

Music at Messiah holds a very special and edifying place in the lives of the congregation for it gives attention to three vital areas, worship, training and evangelism. Worship means that God is given “the glory, praise, honor and thanks due Him, both for who He is and for what He has done.” Training builds and strengthens the body of Christ and aid in spiritual maturation. Evangelism is the act of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the unsaved. The Holy Scriptures encourages us to always have a song in our hearts.

Our music ministry will also help provide an opportunity for individuals to explore their gifts and talents that God has given them. We have several anointed choirs for all ages, a male chourus, and a team of skillful musicians who allow the Holy Spirit to have His way as they play upon the instruments which edifies their individual gifts.

Ushers & Greeters

The Ushers and Greeters ministry play an important role in the church service for we are usually the first persons a worshipper meet as they enter the sanctuary.  It’s our purpose and desire to make everyone feel welcome so we extend a hearty enthusiastic greeting and assist with seating.  We also maintain a watchful eye so that we can attend to the needs of the congregation.

Mothers Ministry

This ministry provides seasoned women of God the opportunity to offer spiritual guidance to the congregation.  The women who are a part of this ministry are living examples of Titus 2:3-5, “The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour  as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed”.

Sunday School

The Sunday Church School is the teaching agent of the fellowship.  Jesus taught His disciples and left to them and those to follow the great commission: “Go therefore into all the world, teaching all nations to observe all things”.  The Sunday School doesn’t just teach scripted lessons, but moral and spiritual insight to practical living.

The annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) falls under the teaching umbrella of the Sunday Church School. The VBS is held in every year the first week of June, placing special emphasis on teaching, fellowshipping and evangelizing to the youth and adults of the church and the surrounding area.
